"Quick takeout meal. Dumplings were great. Infact, very good. Fried rice looks so impressive with the omelette placed over it. It was ok, but had a weird after taste. Can’t quite put my finger on it…… Thankfully she gave me my sauces for free as I did see that little 20c sauce charge signage afterwards as well……and noted some people have been caught out in the comments below. It would be easier to assume everyone wants sauces or ask at the time of purchase - ‘which sauce would you like’ and then upsell or absorb it in prices. Much easier than getting people to comment or write about it. Will go back for these dumplings for sure."

"Aunties dumplings is a classic for our family and has consistently served crispy and tasty dishes. We’ve been loyal customers for as long as I can remember and the waiters are always attentive and receptive to all our orders and wanted requests. Would definitely recommend to any locals and anybody who regularly goes to Carnegie as the prices are low and the quality is high!"

"Cheapest dumplings/Chinese in Carnegie. Had the pan fried pork and boiled vegetable dumplings. They may not taste the best, but they’re the cheapest! Still of reasonable quality. Have also tried the Shanghai fried noodles which was good. They only take cash. Expect to spend under $15 for each dish here."

"The OG of Shanghai food! Before Koornang Road became the Lygon St for Asian food, Aunties Dumpling was already here, paving the way for authentic Shanghai cuisine. The staff are super helpful, the food is hot, delicious and flavoursome. It's my go-to for the comfort of genuine Shanghai food."

"This road is crazy, the amount of restaurants you are really spoilt. This time we had dumplings and beef noodles at auntie dumpling restaurant. This place is so cheap compared to alot of the places and the food quality is really good for the price. Can be crowded at times. Service is hit and miss but the food is great."

"Honestly, this is the best Shanghai noodle fix I ve had in a long time in the area. It’s got that perfect 'dark and glossy' look, hitting you with a massive punch of savory umami and just enough sweetness to keep it addictive. The noodles are thick and have a great chew to them, but the real winner is the 'wok hei'—you can actually taste the sear from the pan. It’s salty, smoky, and oily in all the right ways. If you're craving a plate of noodles that’s pure comfort and packed with flavor, this is it. Try the Xiao Long Bao as well"

"What a great little restaurant. Having lived in Asia for many years, my partner and I definitely enjoyed the food at this restaurant. We had some steamed BBQ pork buns, Xiao Long Bao (dumplings) and some Fried Keow Teoy. Whilst the Fried Koew Teoy was a bit different to what we had experienced overseas, it was delicious. In fact all of the food was delicious. Great service and a quaint and simple restaurant."
